Hike to Rio Seco Waterfall

On Sunday 12th October 2025,
we journey to an aquamarine beauty…the “Fountain of Youth” …the Pool of pools….”The Leap of leaps”…located in Northeast Trinidad in the Ancient Matura Forest is coming to YOU…as seen through US.
The trail to the Rio Seco waterfall begins on the Toco Main Road where the beautiful Salybia River flows lazily into the ocean. The trail winds through the primary rainforest of Matura that most times over looks the bubbling river. Through the tropical rainforest, dominating trees such as the Mora are seen at different stages of life. 🌳
The trail conditions now would take approximately 1 hour one way (depending on ones fitness), with a rating of 4/10. Expect mud.
This isn’t one to miss!!
⚖Hike Rating:4/10 (moderate) Forested muddy trail with minor obstacles along the way; trees to climb over or under)
Cost: $140 per person
