Future in Finance IV

The UWI Finance & Investment Society recently hosted their fourth and largest Future in Finance event in collaboration with ANSA Merchant Bank, ANSA Bank, and CFA Society Trinidad and Tobago. Managing Director of ANSA Merchant Bank Stephen Grell spoke on the skills, qualities, and adaptability needed by leaders in a fast-changing and dynamic world. Sean Achong, the acting Head of Treasury & Foreign Exchange at ANSA Merchant Bank discussed the role of artificial intelligence in the future of finance and offered advice on how students can prepare themselves for the future.

Crystal Rodriguez-Greaves, Chief Investment Officer at the Trinidad and Tobago Unit Trust Corporation spoke on the future of wealth and asset management, and described the challenges of investing in a complex and changing world. The final speaker, Marc Dwarika described his career as a treasury manager at ANSA Merchant Bank and gave students practical advice on building a career in the financial industry.

The event ended with a Question & Answer session where the students asked their engaging questions to members of the ANSA team and the CFA Society Trinidad and Tobago, followed by some networking over light refreshments.
