Last Sunday, the UWI Hiking Club ventured into the lush rain forests of the Northern Range to explore some waterfalls along the Brasso Seco River. Due to an early morning shower the expedition only made it to the second fall, so the rest of the day was spent at the Annual Indigenous Cook Fest & Cultural Showcase at the Brasso Seco Visitor Facility listening to parang music and enjoying pumpkin ice cream, cookies with cacao nibs, pone, smoked meat, and unlimited cups of hot cocoa.
