T&T Field Naturalists’ Club Trip to Caroni Swamp

Field trips are undertaken by the Club for the edification and enjoyment of its members. The Guidebook for these trips is the Trinidad and Tobago Field Naturalists’ Club Trail Guide Second Edition (2006). Only registered members may participate in field trips. All participants are expected to adhere to the Country Code set out in Chapter 2 of the Trail Guide and to be familiar with the safety recommendations listed therein. Members are also expected to follow strict Covid 19 social distances protocols during these trips. Club Trips are held on the last Sunday of the month.
Most club trips depart from Central Bank, Corner St. Vincent Street and South Quay, P.O.S at 6:15 a.m. If the route passes St. Augustine, the trip departs from the south entrance (along the road exiting to the highway) to the University of the West Indies at 6:30 a.m.
Bird Group trips are generally held on the second Sunday of the month and depart 6:00 a.m. or earlier. Other group outings are generally held on the third Sunday of the month but this can vary. Attend the monthly meetings or contact group leaders for further info.
