As part of a recent Zoom session hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards to mark World Standards Day, Doctor Darin Sukha from the Cocoa Research Centre discussed Caricom Standards for Cocoa.

Doctor Sukha discussed changes in chocolate consumption and the need for standardization in order to appeal to more sophisticated and demanding consumers.

He also spoke about the improved marketing position for regional products that these standards offer and how these benefits filter down to the cocoa farmer.
